Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

1. Scope

These Terms of Use govern the use of the Sellah app and website (the "Service"), provided by Melo Designer GmbH ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. The Service

Sellah is a Christian prayer app that, at the times you choose, can pause distracting apps using your device's built-in tools (iOS Screen Time, Android Focus), checks in on your mood, and composes a personal, Scripture-grounded prayer that you can read or hear in a calm voice. Features include a daily verse, a prayer journal, mood and prayer-rhythm tracking, and shareable prayer videos.

3. Account and eligibility

You need an account to use core features. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.

4. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

Sellah Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription and begins with a free trial. Purchases made in the app are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms; purchases on the website are billed by our payment provider. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the price shown for your country until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your app store account or, for web purchases, as described at checkout.

5. Right of withdrawal (digital content)

For paid digital content, EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting to use the paid content during the trial or immediately after purchase, you expressly consent to immediate provision and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal lapses once provision has begun. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt to access it by unauthorized means, or use it unlawfully. The Service is for personal, non-commercial use.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, and content (excluding your own content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.

8. Your content

Prayers you compose, edit, and save are yours. You grant us only the limited rights needed to provide the Service to you (such as storing and syncing your saved prayers). You can delete your content at any time.

9. Availability and changes

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, add, or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect paid features.

10. Nature of the content

Sellah supports your spiritual life; it does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice and is not a substitute for it. Prayers are composed by AI from your inputs and are intended for personal reflection.

11. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and under mandatory law (including the Product Liability Act and injury to life, body, or health). For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Any further liability is excluded.

12. Data protection

We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Term and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Subscription terms regarding billing periods continue to apply until the end of the paid period.

14. Governing law and severability

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
