Lord, the day is ending, and I bring it to you, all that was done and left undone, its joys and its weight.
For what was good, I give you thanks. For where I failed, I ask your mercy. For the people on my heart tonight, I ask your care.
Quiet the noise that follows me into the dark. You who watch over me neither slumber nor sleep, so I can lie down in peace and rest, for you alone make me dwell in safety.
Into your hands I commend this night.
